Changyun Tech Launches Its Self-Developed Submarine Cable Pusher, Expanding into High-End Specialized Cable Installation Equipment
Recently, Changyun Technology officially launched its self-developed Submarine Cable Pusher. Designed for submarine cables, large power cables, and heavy-duty fiber optic cables, the new machine marks an important step forward for Changyun Technology in the field of specialized cable installation equipment.

The Submarine Cable Pusher adopts a modular design, integrating dual cable pushing mechanisms, a high-strength base frame, and an intelligent hydraulic system to support smooth and continuous cable movement under complex working conditions. The machine features two independent pushing mechanisms arranged symmetrically on the left and right sides. The contact surfaces are made of specially designed wear-resistant rubber blocks, providing a high coefficient of friction and excellent abrasion resistance. This helps deliver stable pushing force in wet or oily environments while protecting the cable outer sheath from scratches.
Inside the machine, high-strength sprockets and chain transmission are used to ensure efficient power transmission and reliable performance during continuous operation.
To meet the challenges of long-distance cable laying and installations with significant elevation differences, the rear section of the machine is equipped with an integrated capstan wheel structure. This provides additional winding traction and works together with the main cable pushing mechanisms to improve stability and reliability throughout the laying process. The machine is also equipped with a high-performance variable-frequency motor, supporting stepless speed adjustment, and includes a built-in braking system for emergency stop protection.
The newly launched Submarine Cable Pusher is available in two models: 5T350 and 5T500, meeting the laying requirements of different cable specifications.
The successful development of the Submarine Cable Pusher provides practical equipment support for major projects such as offshore wind power, cross-sea power transmission, and heavy-duty cable laying applications. It also demonstrates Changyun Technology’s strong independent R&D and manufacturing capabilities in specialized cable installation equipment.
