Fixed Pulling Rope Connector, 1–8 Ton
- Rated Load:
- 1-8 t
The Fixed Pulling Rope Connector is a compact, high-strength connecting accessory designed for joining pilot ropes and pulling ropes during underground cable pulling and overhead conductor stringing operations.
Its fixed, non-rotating structure provides a secure connection between rope sections, while the rounded profile and smooth bearing surface help the connector pass through pullers, puller-tensioners, bull wheels, cable pulleys, and stringing blocks with reduced risk of snagging or jamming.
The connector also helps distribute the pulling load across the rope eye, reducing localized bending, contact stress, and irregular rope deformation at the connection point. Although it does not provide the continuous torque-release capability of a ball bearing swivel, its compact structure can help limit rope kinking and excessive twisting during pulling operations.
Manufactured from high-strength alloy steel with a corrosion-resistant surface treatment, the connector is suitable for demanding outdoor cable installation and conductor stringing projects. Four safe working load options—1, 3, 5, and 8 tons—are available for different pulling requirements.
Key Features:
1. Secure Rope Connection
Designed to securely connect pilot ropes or pulling ropes during underground cable installation and overhead conductor stringing operations.
2. Fixed, Non-Rotating Structure
The simple fixed construction provides a stable connection without internal bearings or rotating components, making it reliable and easy to use in demanding field conditions.
3. Reduced Bending Stress
The rounded bearing surface helps distribute the pulling load across the rope eye, reducing localized bending, compression, and contact stress at the connection point.
4. Smooth Passage Through Pulling Equipment
Its compact and rounded profile allows the connector to pass smoothly through pullers, puller-tensioners, bull wheels, cable pulleys, and stringing blocks with reduced risk of snagging or jamming.
5. Reduced Rope Kinking
The smooth connection profile helps reduce irregular bending, rope kinking, and excessive twisting at the joint during pulling operations.
6. High-Strength Forged Construction
Manufactured from high-strength alloy steel, the connector provides reliable tensile strength and load-bearing performance while maintaining a compact overall size.
7. Corrosion-Resistant Finish
The plated and passivated surface helps protect the steel body against moisture, rust, and corrosion during outdoor use and storage.
8. Multiple Load Capacities
Available in safe working loads of 1, 3, 5, and 8 tons, with overall heights ranging from 68 to 110 mm and connection widths from 14 to 25 mm.
